The Psalmist acknowledges the faithfulness of the Creator as he joyfully sings and praises the Lord for His works in creation. In contrast some NASA scientists are claiming to have discovered evidence that MAY IMPLY the existence of a parallel universe that runs backward. About such speculators the Psalmist says, "they are senseless . . . and stupid." His words--not mine.

This sequel to the last program, "Which came 1st, the chicken or the egg? - And related questions," discusses claims made by an evolutionist that scientists will soon be able to reverse-engineer a dinosaur like animal from a chicken--a dinochicken. Of course, the evolutionary assumption is dinosaurs came BEFORE chickens, the opposite of what the creation account of Genesis 1 tells us.

The frailty of Man and what could lead to the futility of life is presented to the "Everlasting Creator" in the later portion of Moses' prayer. The solution to the vanity of life?--fellowship with one's Creator and Savior. Moses also asks for encouragement in this life's pursuits as well.

In this prayer of Moses he addresses the Lord as Creator. In it Moses describes the vast difference between God's transcendence and Man's transience. This Psalm is referred to by 3 New Testament writers, and phrases from this well known Psalm are frequently quoted by God's people today.

These two Psalms were written during the Babylonian captivity. The temple, Jerusalem and God's people are all downtrodden. The Psalmists recall the Creator's power and plead that He restore His place, His people and His name to its proper exalted position in the world.
